These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of this website, operated by the practice of Maria Slutski, Registered Psychotherapist (CRPO Registration No. 007463), in Toronto, Ontario. By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

1. Informational purpose only

The content of this website is provided for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute psychotherapy, clinical, medical, legal, or other professional advice, and it should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional assessment or treatment.

Using this website, or contacting the Practice through it, does not create a therapist–client or any other professional relationship. A professional relationship is established only through a separate intake and agreement.

2. Not a crisis service

This website is not monitored in real time and is not an emergency or crisis service. If you are in crisis, or if you or someone else may be in danger, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department. In Canada, you can also reach the Suicide Crisis Helpline at 988 (call or text), available 24 hours a day.

3. Professional regulation

Maria Slutski is a Registered Psychotherapist regulated by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) under the Psychotherapy Act, 2007. Questions or concerns about professional conduct may be directed to CRPO.

4. Booking, fees, and cancellations

Appointments are scheduled through our third-party provider, Jane, and your use of that service is subject to its terms. Service arrangements, fees, payment, and cancellation policies are confirmed directly with the Practice as part of the consultation and intake process.

5. Intellectual property

All content on this website — including text, design, layout, photographs, and the logo — is owned by Maria Slutski or used with permission, and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without prior written consent.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use this website unlawfully, or to disrupt, damage, or attempt unauthorized access to the site or its underlying systems, or to collect information from it by automated means without permission.

7. Third-party links

This website may link to third-party websites and services (such as the scheduling and messaging providers). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those third parties.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

This website is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including as to accuracy, reliability, or availability.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Practice will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your access to, use of, or reliance on this website or its content.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.

11. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Your continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
